“My interpretations are rooted in my color palette. I love everything that is brilliant.”

I consider myself an abstract impressionist. My goal is to transform the natural order into a suggestive interpretation to stimulate the imagination, both through my own experience as I create a work and in the mind of the viewer when they are in front of the piece. My hope is that what a person sees and enjoys in my work will always be a highly personal experience, drawing on their memories, personality, and awareness. This is an important aspect in understanding my art. I work with both acrylic and an epoxy/resin on canvas. Barbara was born in New York and attended the Stony Brook University Arts Program.
